The case in which 2018 presidential candidate and businessman Joseph Makamba Busha reportedly lost US$65 000 to a Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Union consultant will be heard on March 9 this year.

Busha, through his JM Busha 54 Race Trust Zimbabwe, allegedly lost the money to ZCTU consultant in social investments and development Vimbai Eva Mushongera. افتتاح يورو ٢٠٢١

Busha’s trust, which he is representing, is into peace promotion through education, sport, arts, music and culture throughout Africa.

Prosecutor Idah Maromo alleges that Mushongera was appointed as a trustee and country representative of JM Busha 54 Trust and she was not entitled to a salary but an allowance of US$100 per sitting.

Like other trustees, Mushongera was asked to assist the secretariat to run the affairs of the organisation.

Allegations are that Mushongera hatched a plan to defraud Busha and in pursuant to her plan, she doctored a letter of appointment purporting that he had prepared it.

Mushongera allegedly highlighted the nature of her duties in the letter and also wrote that she was entitled to a salary of US$2 500 per month.

Indications are that Mushongera also drafted emails as if they had been sent by Busha to her, acknowledging that he owed her US$65 000.

She allegedly caused her lawyers to prepare a letter of demand using the fake documents, which were then submitted to Busha claiming US 000 on behalf of their client. كم عدد القوارير في البولينج

Further allegations are that Busha realised the anomaly on the documents and he lodged a complaint leading to Mushongera’s arrest.
