HARARE – Caledonia Mining Corporation maintained its forecast for gold production even though production from the Blanket gold mine in Zimbabwe eased slightly in the third quarter.

Quarterly gold production from Blanket in the three months to the end of September 2024 was 18,992 ounces gross against a record 21,772 ounces in the comparable quarter.

In the nine months to the end of September production rose modestly to 56,815 ounces (2023: 55,244 ounces).

For the full year, Caledonia reiterated it expected gold production of between 74,000 and 78,000 ounces.

The gold miner added that from now on dividends will be declared alongside its quarterly results, a change it said relates solely to the timing of future payments and does not denote any change in dividend policy.
