Bulawayo – The dream of playing in the world cup for the Zimbabwe Chevrons has been shuttered as they failed to beat Scotland in their qualifying match held today at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo
Zimbabwe was hosting the World Cup’s qualifiers, and their chances to travel to India wholly depended on this game
Their loss to Sri Lanka in their game meant that a loss to Scotland would be the end of their 2023, World Cup story.
After losing the toss and batting first, Scotland won by 31 runs (234/8) and Zimbabwe’s Chevrons got (203) in 41.1 overs
