The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) last night announced the reduction of fuel prices for both diesel and blend as of January 1, 2022, although the prices in local currency remained below USD $1 against the parallel market rate.
In a notice, ZERA has slightly decreased the petrol EO price by 1.09% to ZWL152.87 per litre from ZWL154.56, and the price for diesel by 0.50% to ZWL149.55 per litre.

“Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided by the fuel pricing regulation,” said ZERA.
